Jan Keller - violoncello
She comes from a musical family with more than 100 years tradition. She attended her first violin lessons at the School of music of Antonín Dvořák in Karlovy Vary. In the year 2000 she studied at the conservatory in Plzeň with the great violin pedagogue J. Holotová and in the year 2005 she graduated at the Academy of performing arts in Prague in the class of professor I.Štraus.
She became the laureat of the Competition of Conservatories (1.price - 1995, 1.price - 2000).Several times she played as a soloist with the Plzeň Philharmonic. She was selected from among a great number of applicants to be a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (1997) and she represented the Czech Republic in a grand concert tour in the european metropolis conducting by Bernard Haitink. In the 1999 she participated in festival: Academy XXTH of Century Music, where she had a possibillity to study the contemporary music by the P. Bouleze and the Ensemble contemporary. In April 2000 she was invited to the 10th International Music Festival "Comprehension" in Poland to play the J.N. Hummel´s violin concert under the direction of Gregory Rose. She participated in the summer courses in Semmering ( Austria), where she received the price of Bohuslav Martinu, Leos Janacek and Bela Bartok for the best performance of the Violin Sonatas. She got a Socrates - Erasmus scholarship and completed part of her studies in Weimar, with professor M.Malinin. She took a privat lessons by professoress M.Hlouňová.
She was a member of Prague Philharmonia and several times she played also as a soloist. From 2007-2010 she was a member of Martinů Quartet.
